Assistant Pastor
Richard Wahlberg
Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Hosanna Hope website. I’m Richard Wahlberg, I love Jesus and hope you do too. Some quick bio stuff - I was born in Indio, California. Lived in Palm Desert till I was about 15 years old and then moved to Yucca Valley in 1985. I guess from those numbers you might figure out my age.
I graduated from Yucca Valley High School. But it was in high school that I met the love of my life and now wife, Celeste. We were married in 1990 and that started a journey that includes four. My children, Rebekah, Madelyn, Elijah and Noah, are all super smart, hard workers and are now grown and out of the house.
My life radically changed in the summer of 2001 when my father unexpectedly died and then the terrorist attacks on September 11 happened. These two events were a wake up call from God that refocused the direction of my life forever. These events led Celeste and me to join a missionary organization and move to a war zone where we lived with our children for about eight years.
I am an assistant pastor at Hosanna Hope. I volunteer at The Way Station a couple times a week. I do sporadic disaster response with Samaritan’s Purse. I am in the process of becoming a volunteer chaplain with the Billy Graham Association and I engage in some Walmart Spark deliveries once in a while. If I come to your house or see you around I would love to pray with and for you.
Thanks for reading. If you made it this far, send me a note at rcwahlberg@gmail.com.
