Statement of Faith
What We Believe
These are the foundational biblical convictions that guide our church and ministry.
The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. Therefore, our ministry emphasizes the regular exposition of God’s Word in its entirety.
The Trinity
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His promised return in power and glory.
Salvation
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the simple ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith are we saved.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life; we further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.
Resurrection & Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life; and they that are lost unto destruction of eternal damnation.
Marriage & Sexuality
We believe legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. In addition, we believe marriage has been ordained by God. Therefore, we recognize marriage as exclusively the legal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment.
Church Practices
We believe it is important to uphold Scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to water baptism and the regular receiving of the Lord’s Supper.
